Where can I find a detent cable for Geo Tracker on line?
It really depends…on the year, the application (4×2 or 4×4). there are many different companies to buy parts for on-line, but I would either stick to your local Chevy dealer or order through Auto Zone…someplace that has a brick and mortar store, just in case you have problems (sometimes the cables are packaged wrong especially if production year is close to the next).
You could also call a local Transmission Shop to see if they have one or even a junk yard if you a a true di-it-yourself kind of guy.

One point to remember (from experience)…make sure when installing the detent, you attach it to the transmission first, then to the throttle body (unless you have the pan down, then you just take out the two number 10 bolts from the valve-body and hook the cable there).
Good-luck…oh, when you are done. take it to a transmission shop so they can set the cable for you…shouldn’t cost all that much and it is weird to do yourself…if it isn’t set right you can cook the trans fairly quickly.
