Can the DMM be used to measure the voltage rms value from Function Generator IF outp=400Hz triangular waveform?

Can the Digital Multimeter be used to measure the rms value of voltage from the output of the Function Generator if the output is a triangular waveform with a frequency of 400Hz?

I have found that not all DMM will read (((( true )))) RMS(1). but the Fluke DMM Model 77 (2) does a very good job(for me). I find that aircraft APU’s (3) sometimes operate at 400 Hz frequency and yes voltage and freq can be measured.(4). The RMS voltage from a Function Generator could be very small, Very VERY small. sometime outside the spec’s of your meter, but you can measure it with the right calibration’s of your hardware/software. By using (((( true )))) RMS DMM the type of waveform IE: “Tiangular”(5), Box, Sawtooth, Flat Sin/Sin…. should not come in to play for this question, but Please re-read (1), (5), each’s waveform math tables.
that is why I used the words ” (((( true )))) RMS “.
