3ds Max: Image as cookie cutter?

In 3ds Max, can I use an image to cut into an object?

Hi,

If your image is a bitmap then you could try using it in the opacity slot of a material and then apply the material to the the box. This works best when the image is black and white only – one is the solid part, the other is cut out (I can never remember which colour is which). Obviously you will have to apply a UVW map to the object to position the bitmap.
